Paul,

If Ron wears his fancy uniform you'll have to be sure to get some pictures to share with us! I'm sure there are other Forum members "entitled" to a snazzy uniform of their own design, so be sure to include them.

One of those times when I wished I lived a little closer (or did a better job picking lottery numbers) so I could join in on a few of these expeditions.

I will be there and will take pictures.
Just have to learn how to post them!

We are counting on all the NELL folks to post some good pictures for us. I agree with Dave that it is a bummer not to live closer - lots of lighthouse action up your way!

Hilari, If I can learn you sure can. Remember, help is just a click away and man did I click away.

Grace & Dave- between Ron, Hilari, and myself plus the other folk that'll be there there will be plenty of pictures I'm sure of that.

I plan to go to the store this coming weekend to pick up the same costume I rented last time out to Boon Island (was that three years ago?) and I am trying to talk MJ into renting one also. I'm not sure she will do it. Her official position and title are Assistant Secretary General of Boon Island Security (I'm the Secretary General). Friends Jim & Irma Streeter are going to the costume shop also. Jim is looking to get his "Bobby" (is that how you spell it Hilari?) or policeman's outfit like last time. I'm not sure if Irma knows what she will be dressed up as.

It will be wonderful being with all of you folks again during this fun outing.

I am in the process of assessing the terrorist threat to the Republic of Boon Island and, as Secretary General of Boon Island Security, I will be announcing the security level before this event. At present the security level is blue (like the cold blue ocean surrounding Boon Island). Stay tuned for future updates.

Yes Ron the policemen in England are nicknamed 'Bobby" or 'Bobbys'

Bobbies are named after Sir Robert Peel. If you are interested and for another costume idea, have a look here:
SIR ROBERT "BOBBY" PEEL (1788 - 1850)

Have fun at the celebrations! I agree with Dave: Must get better at picking lottery numbers! wink

Margret,
Thanks for the link to the "Bobbie" page
Don't know when I will get home to the mother counrtry next, but I will be sure to get in touch with you. We will be in Ireland in September if you fancy a ferry ride over!

Margret, thanks for the link. I did find that quite interesting. I guess we can thank Sir Robert for the low pay the policeman still receive. eek
