August 4th was the Coast Guard's 229th Birthday. Sorry I am late posting this. The Coast Guard has upheld the motto of "They have to go out but don't have to return" each time a boat or vessel is in trouble and they go out to rescue it no matter how bad the weather is.
They usually leave a whole lot faster than it took for Rich's post! :)
