Coastie Cadence

A Portsmouth VA Coastie instructor has been named a finalist in the Coast Guard cadence song writing competition. The song is about a drug bust that CG cutter Northlund ( a Portsmouth based ship) was involved with that netted two tons of cocaine back in 1999. That is the CGC Northland. It's a WMEC (Medium Endurance Cutter) stationed out of Portsmouth.

I had to check though because it has been 27 years since I retired and everything is all new so it could have been the Northlund.
