These were taken the day before the cruise. Thanks to Derith's pre-cruise excursion, Mukilteo was open for visitors!

The evening the Celebrity INFINITY departed, we were able to view lighthouses from the Constellation Lounge, while enjoying refreshments courtesy of Rod Hunt.

After a day at sea, our first stop was Ketchikan, Alaska. We boarded local sightseeing boats to visit Umatilla Lightship and Guard Island Light.

Description: Umatilla Lightship. Converted to a research ship, it's for sale.

The next day, after an enchanting cruise up Tracy Arm Fjord, we proceeded to Juneau to see, among other things, Sentinal Island Light and Guard Island Light Station.

Description: One of the other things: the magnificent Mendenhall Glacier.

Description: Sentinal Island Light. From the water, the only unobstructed view seems to be from the back.

Description: Sentinal Island Light, above the treetops as we round the island.

Description: Then after some whale watching (humpbacks and orcas) it was on to Point Retreat.

Description: Point Retreat Light Station appears quite homey, and sits in a majestic setting. One could actually imagine living and working at this one.

The next stop next day was Skagway. Train ride, but no Lighthouses. Then after a day at sea, our last stop: Victoria, B.C.

Description: Ogden Point Breakwater Light.

Description: Trial Island Lighthouse. We passed it on the bus, on our way to . . .

Description: Fisgard Lighthouse, Victoria's oldest lighthouse, 150 years old and newly renovated.

Description: It's also located at a fort.

Description: Perfect ending to a great day and a great excursion.

A very nice job! Thanks, Bruce, for sharing your images, like Mark said, I hope more people will share their images and their experiences..

Really nice job getting those images from the cruise ship as we we were quite a ways away from those lights..

WOW! Your photos are glorious! I enjoyed seeing the wildlife (animals, fish, mammals, birds,etc), plus all the photos of the Alaskan towns. Your pictures of the scenery, glaciers, lighthouses were terrific! Congratulations on a job well done! Loved them all.
