Aerial trip over San Francisco Bay, October 2010

Fran and I took a fabulous West Coast trip in October, and it's overdue for me to post some images. I'll start with the cream of the crop.

First up, Point Bonita. We were going to start with Point Reyes but the fog beat us to it by 10 minutes.

This is now my favorite way to photograph a lighthouse! I guess I've done about 10 flybys. Beautiful Day! Crisp Photos Jen, keep them coming!
Now I know why Bill used to say I only shoot the future HLs from a plane!

Sorry Jen! I do have to say that that this lighthouse was an extraordinary experience to get to and climb!
Jen'sphotos are a whole new experience!

Nice aerials of a difficult lighthouse to see, Jen, but I still much prefer walking right up to and hugging the lighthouse on the ground..

Definately the best pics of Point Bonita I've ever seen!

I agree it's best to experience a lighthouse up close and personal- but views like this of Pt. Bonita give a much different perspective to the lighthouse.

I've been at the LH but not seeing from the air I now feel I've missed an important part of the experience.
