Keweenaw/Isle Royale, Part 2 - 08/09/04 02:32 AM

I finally got through all of my digital photos. (I only shot one roll of film.) My best ones were Rock of Ages and Menagerie. I'm sure several others will be posting photos from the trip. So, I'm just posting a few more.

Bete Grise This is a cute lighthouse. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it had a Fresnel lens. They said that the owners recently found it in the basement.

On the way to Copper Harbor Lighthouse on Wednesday, the people who were sitting in the middle and back of the boat got very wet on the way to the light. They were great sports.

Passage Island Lighthouse This is a beautiful lighthouse. Like many of the lights in the area, there is orange and gold lichen(?) growing on the rocks. It's too bad that the modern structures (red tower, solar panels and the white building) surround the light.

If you were on the trip, I'm looking forward to seeing some of your photos...
