Some of my aurora pictures.... finally

I finally had some time to scan and post a few pictures the aurora from last Tuesday night into Wednesday morning (11-9th & 10th) I was on my way to Detroit and stopped at Albion, MI. when the storm really kicked up about 11:30pm and took pictures from a dark ramp along I-94. The storm lasted 2 1/2 hours and was very intense, rolling from side to side and down to up often looking like flames licking up the sky.

All the pictures were taken with a Nikon F 100 with a Nikon 24x120mm F3.5-5.6 set at 3.5 for 30 seconds on Fuji Provia 400 slide film

Great shots, Mark! Looks like you had a bit nicer show than I did on Tuesday night. All I had was a bunch of green.

DANG. And her I thought the red was just part of the aurora.
