Holtenauer Schleuse in Kiel

Fehmarnbelt was to stay here for the night, before sailing to Lübeck the next day.

Stan is waiting patiently for the arrival of the ship.




And here she is. Just out of the lock at the end of the Canal, taking a wide sweep past the lighthouse on the other side of the harbour.



Soon she was tied up and all secure



And then started a little party for the crew. And we were invited.

Three retired ships captains, who are all volunteers for the light ship have a reunion over a beer

What a nice crowd they are!!

I like the Holtenauer Schleuse lighthouse. Very different.

Neat stuff, must have been fun to meet the Captains and the crew!
