another back yard safari

had my camera in the garden again today ... thought you might like to see the sparrows too ...



Dad is feeding ... Mum (if you look closely you can see) is just flying away (there is a blurrrr on the left where she is too fast for my camera)

The kids are supposed to have a bath ... Well it is Saturday ...



I can just immagine the talk going on there:
"Aw ... Mam, do we really have to get in there?"
"I don't want to have a bath again! I only had one last week!"

We noticed these last few years that we had very few ordinary house sparrows. But this year they are back. The garden is full of these comical little guys. The seem to like the new seedmix we use in the feeder.

sorry if the pictures are not showing... I store them on our webspace and they are occasionally having troubles. Come back later, if you have the patience. They should be back.

You have a great garden. I have nothng yet not evan grass they wont give it until after the drought restrictions are lifted. I want to plant and miss it.

... and here we are nearly wishing for drought .. The grass is doing rather well in these torrential rain storms, but sadly so are the weeds :rolleyes:
