Rod's Photo Gallery: 5th Year Anniversary

Time flies when you're having fun. 03/31 marks the 5th anniversary of my website. Doesn't seem like it has been that long.

What started as an experimental hobby of learning html gradually grew into a fairly large personal site. I am up to 240 individual photo pages, plus all the ancillary sections (guestbook, sales, bio, equipment, website history, links, etc, etc). Although considered monotonous and ignorant by most (all), I still hand code the entire site in 'Notepad' (If you didn't know, I'm a little wierd...has something to do with that extra architect/engineer gene that won't go away). The site is still only about 60% complete, so I have a long way to go. Hobby time has been limited to be quite infrequent lately.

If you haven't visited in a long while (or never before...shame on you), you may want to cruise by sometime. I have added over 60 new pages in the last 3 months or so. I'll bug 'ya in another 5 years.

I got to know Rod through the old AOL board. Somehow I got to know what a fantastic photographer he was (is)! Congrats on 5 years, Rod!

I just can't imagine how ANYONE could hand-code HTML. But there it is -- proof positive that it CAN be done -- and done VERY WELL!

Congratulations on 5 years, Rod! I enjoyed your site long before I knew who you were, and for a long time when I knew you from this forum but not as the propreitor of your site (it sometimes takes me a while to make these connections.).

And what a better way to commemorate this than winning 3rd Place for the best Dusk or Dawn photo in the LHDigest photo contest! Check it out in the April issue (yesssss, monthlies are starting again). There is an entire spread of photos...check it out! Good going, Rod!

5 years already???? Wow, that went fast. Rod I check in every now and then, hoping to see some of your photos from lighthouses you visited eons ago, lol! Makes a good reason to return!

Congratulations on 5 years Rod! Took the tour again today and loved it. You've got some great photo's there and I've bookamerked you for future visits. Seems that I find something new everytime I look you up. I must admit that's about 3 - 4 times a year, but always enjoyable.
