We also were at, and climbed, Portland Head Light. This shot is a monument that I really don't think to many people see as they are approaching the light. Its speaks for itself.

Beautiful houses, Tom; I, too, could adjust to living in one easily! On the other hand, there is something to be said about a very cozy and lovely "little cottage by the sea."

I missed the U.S.S. EAGLE-56 plaque and am grateful that you posted it here as well as grateful for the brave men who made the supreme sacrifice that day.
