West Quoddy - 08/23/99 04:10 PM

Isn't it time to issue a new edition of West Quoddy ? The original piece was not really done all that well and I believe that this lighthouse deserves to be reissued. Maybe as a winter or a society piece. Maybe even as a GLOW. It doesn't matter how, but it should be done.

Absolutely. I'm not a big fan of GLOWs, but West Quoddy is one of the premiere sentinals in the country (not to mention the eastern-most point in the United States).

All the original piece has going for it is the fact that the stripes were painted reasonably straight. I think HL owes its collectors a new edition of this magnificent light (which was even accorded its own postage stamp many years ago, before lighthouses were so popular).

I couldn't agree with you guys more.

West Quoddy has always been one of my personal favorites.

West Quoddy gets my vote too! I'm partial to LHs with red on them. It would make an excellent Glow.

I have a feeling we'll be seeing it soon, don't you? (Since the ornament is here for Xmas...)

I can't agree more. I would snatch up a new West Quoddy as soon as one was available.
