Re: Your Top Three Wishes for 2004 - 07/11/03 03:56 AM

Let's see...

The Manhatten Range Lights (Matched set, from the time when the rear range was taller and the lights were active).

Conover Beacon and Chapel Hill Light (Once again, a matched set...splitting them 50/50 with the original and current Conovers could be cool).

Tinicum Rear Range Light decked out in christmas lights for the Movie Jersey Girl. (This could be a good christmas piece!)

Yes, I know these are less-known lights. But it might be cool to see them produced!!!

Oh yeah...and a Sea Girt LLOM would ROCK!!!!

We would like to see
Mispillion, DE.
New Point Comfort, VA.
Cape Charles, VA.

In all fairness though all of the choices that have been mentioned would be great. Anyway no matter what new pieces come out we will be purchasing them as quickly as we can. I wish we could buy stock in Harbour Lights, our purchases only would make this company a profitable one for many years to come.

I wish HL would:

1) Drop the GLOW line
2) Return the LE's to the size/style of the original 5500's
3) Quit pumping out so much open edition giftware so that we could all get excited about their products again.

I doubt we'll see Lime Kiln. However, I sit by this light for several hours each June, waiting for the whales to go by. This light sparked my interest in lighthouses.

1)Little Sable, MI
2)Squaw Island, MI
3)and of course Waugoshance Shoal, MI - Then and Now. If any lighthouse has taken more of a pounding (and survived to tell) than this one, I'd like to see it.

2. Crooked River, Carrabelle, FL I know, I know FL has already had their share for a while, but I'd still like to see it done. smile

Lime Kiln with a pod of Orcas going by would be great Tammy. They could have one in mid jump cool . That would make it unique enough that I think it would sell.

Living in Hawaii with NOOOO HL dealers, I rely upon The Forum to keep me informed and you haven't
disappointed me. Harbour Lights hasn't disappointed me, just frustrated me. One of my wishes would be peachy. Here they are for 2004.
1.Pomham Rocks, RI
2.Eastern Point, MA
3.Bishop and Clerks (Gone but Not Forgotten)
No Hawaii lights!!!New England is ONO (The Best)

Re: Your Top Three Wishes for 2004 - 07/14/03 02:21 AM

I already posted my choices. Dan suggested Seul Choix Point (with the birdhouse). I would be happy if HL chose that light...especially with the birdhouse replica of the light.

Dale, have you been to San Juan Island? In the late spring and summer, it is a great place to see the orcas. There are more and more people each year I go, and Washington State keeps on upgrading the park. I think the secret may be getting out...

Re: Your Top Three Wishes for 2004 - 07/16/03 01:35 AM

My three hopes would be:

1. Mispillon, DE - In honor of it's recent demise.

2. An Alaska LH - Sentinal, Five Fingers, Cape Decision, Scotch Cap, or Hinchinbrook since they are all similar in design & we just got back from a trip there to visit family.

3. A Washington LH - I agree Lime Kiln with some Orcas would be great, but others we have seen like Point no Point, Point Wilson, Destruction Is., or West Point would be nice also.

Re: Your Top Three Wishes for 2004 - 07/16/03 05:19 PM

I'm with you Dick, if I can't get a complete Outer Banks set (no Ocracoke or Prices Creek), how about we shoot for all of Puget Sound? They're not all beautiful but there is a wide variety (excepting Point No Point and West End). Don't wait until we finish the Great Lakes, I'm too old!

Old Vermilion, OH light
East Charity Shoal

I'd like this as a set because the East Charity Shoal Light, NY is the original Vermilon light that was thought lost since it was removed from Vermilion in 1927. However it was found just a few years ago to still be an active light at the entrance to the St. Lawrence as East Charity Shoal.

I would like to echo a few choices of my fellow collectors and see both Little Sable, MI and a set with Old and New Presque Isle, MI.

My biggest wish for 2004 would be to see my home lighthouse and restoration in progress, the Saginaw River Rear Range Light. I have been wishing for this one for a number of years and someday, eventually, I am sure it will be done by Harbour Lights!
