Avery Point

The only lighthouse built to honor lighthouse keepers everywhere. It was built on the USCG Training Station (Groton, CT) in 1943 and was an active light until 1967, when the USCG vacated the site.

Visit the Avery Point Lighthouse Society website http://apls.tripod.com/ to learn more about this light and the efforts to save it.

I've been waiting for this moment for a few hours. It's now past midnight and I could list another one. I kept my promise, John!

Re: Anagram Challenge Part 2 - 11/14/01 10:31 PM

It's now almost 12 hours since you last posted here Jeff. Just wondering if you are starting to get the jitters, sweats or impulse to post any particular lighthouse (before someone else posts it)?

Cheer up you only have about 8-1/2 hours to go.

Good Luck

Now that the valium is wearing off, it's time to post another to start off the new day!

East Brother

I have 13 more on my list, I can feel the shakes coming. It's going to be a loooooong day. Time to pop another valium.
