The Lighthouse "Name Game"

You might remember this game from your childhood.

I'll name a lighthouse and the next person must name another lighthouse that BEGINS with the LAST LETTER of my lighthouse name.

One lighthouse name per person, please.

Here goes...

(The next lighthouse name must begin with "T". You can ignore common names such as "Cape" or "Point" in the name and go with the 'main name' - 'Hatteras' instead of 'Cape Hatteras')

OK, gang, do we disqualify Brent's "Alcatraz" since this is his SECOND post to this thread?

Or is someone going to come up with a lighthouse that starts with "Z".

Or should the correct name have been "Alcatraz Island" and make the next one start with "D"?

You are trying to make things too easy! Besides, that list can't be totally correct - in the case of Indiana they list only one light, that being Michigan City. In fact, there are TWO lights at Michigan City and 3 more Indiana lights. The moral here is, don't use this list as your only refernece!

... And that list doen't includ those GLOP (Great Lighthouses of the Past) or the lighthouses outside the US. Surely there must be a lighthouse somewhere that begins with "Z".

We could auction off the name, proceeds go to lighthouse preservation.

Suggestion disqualify Alcatraz and go back to the last one which was Yerba Buena to keep the game going.

The lighthouse data base at www.lighthousedigest.com does not list any lighthouses that begin with "Z".

The Internet Index of Lighthouse Links also does not show any (US) lighthouses beginning with "Z". But could there be a GLOP somewhere?

Looks like this is the end for this thread.

Not really time to give up, I bet there are a few, why there is a lighthouse near Zanzibar for example. While the official name of it isn't the Zanzibar lighthouse, I feel quite sure that it is called that a lot. And I believe there is a newer one in the area (maybe North end of Znazibar) besides the historical Chumbe lighthouse on Chumbe Island right off the coast of Zanzibar: http://www.tanzania-web.com/zanzibar/chumbe.htm
I also suspect there may be a Swedish or Polish lighthouse that starts with a Z, I know they start with about every other letter.
