My Poem

The group poetry has been going on forever. That's good.

Here's a chance to make up your own WHOLE poem. Style is whatever you want it to be: Limerick, Haiku, free verse.

Pretty Lighthouses

Were daymarks just to make a lighthouse pretty?
To make an attractive photograph,
Or lure the artist to paint and craft?
Perhaps the striking paint designs
Had a greater purpose in mind,
Think of the mariner out at sea
Who knew he was safe and where he should be
Knowing the lighthouse was always on duty.

Here goes my attempt at a poem. I'm not a poet and you will soon know it.

Title: Adding To My Collection.

I once bought a lighthouse model on Ebay,
It was MIB the seller did say.
He would ship within a day or two,
But weeks went past before it came through.
Not very well packed as it said in the ad,
Actually it was packed very bad.
Right away I noticed a chip,
This seller is such a dip.
When you shop Ebay, it's buyer beware,
Only on the CF Trading Post do they really care!
