NTFG #8 - 08/23/01 03:03 PM

Wackos and above, how about giving the Newbies one days grace?. Newbies: grace is over!

Below is today's Light picture to be named.
Here’s a brief list of guidelines that will be used.
1. Every Thursday a new light will be presented, barring problems.
2. The light may be from anywhere in the world.
3. Request that we limit guesses to 1/person/day
4. A hint will be provided every day starting on the 2nd day.
5.I will keep/post the running scores if desired, scoring will be by points assigned for difficulty (1-5).
6. Post your guesses to this thread.
7. Your input with photos appreciated and acknowledged when used.
8. Today's should be easy as there are a number of pictorial clues within. Rate this a 2.

Scores as of 8/22/01:
Derith - 10
Mombo - 8
Oseabee - 5

This is a real shot in the dark, but is it St. Augustine?

red tower and rail; pier; rip rock between pier, green water and beach sand.
I agree with the Abbotts.

No way is it St. Augustine. St. Augustine is inland from the water by a good hundred yards or more.

Knows what it's NOT, Does NOT know what it is.

Whoops! Just read the instructions. WACKOS were asked to give newbies one day's grace. It's a good thing we were wrong.

Nobody's right yet. At first I thought a newbie needed a break, but a newbie may already be an expert! So all is fair. 8/24 cluye will undoubtedly give it away!
(If you could see the picture that Mrs. Pharologst is taking it would indeed be obvious!, and I would stand out like a sore thumb!)

I'm late...too much on my plate...and it is not a Chinet! I'd guess Barnegat too.

Congratulations to Chesapeake Bryon for the first correct answer of Barnegat. Photo taken from the tower. I didn't get to use my first clue which was "what does Pisa, Italy have in common with this tower." (They both lean !)
