Household Lighthouses...

Household Lighthouses... - 02/01/05 05:55 PM
I got this idea when looking for ideas for John's food game. I seemed to find plenty of lights with household items in them, but none that had food names.
Here's the deal. Try and find lighthouses with any kind of household item in them. Anything. Appliances, furniture, home parts, items in the house...we'll let you know if it seems too offbeat. The item can be anywhere in the lighthouse's name, as long as all the letters of the item's name are consecutive and in the same word (ex., not Pargar Ageton Light, but Pargarage Light is OK. Also OK is Dagrubber Stampleton Light, because it is a two word item in two consecutive lighthouse name words. Now you're confused.)
One post person/day. We can't use the same item twice (I'll make a list when we have enought stuff). Have fun!
I'll start off with:
Navesink, NJ

I don't suppose "The Coffee Pot" (Bloody Point Bar, MD) counts?
Probably not, so, I'll say Dog Island, Fl

Re: Household Lighthouses... - 02/02/05 09:50 PM
Yeah...I just thought of the first household item that came to mind and put the first prefixes and suffixes that came to mind on them. Yeah. I'm crazy.
As for duplicating lights...I would really rather not, but if you can't think if anything else, okay.
Also, I'm adding to the first post that words like "Point", "Cape", "Harbor", etc. can only be used for one light one time. Otherwise, we could go crazy with them.
I'm kind of figuring out new rules as we run into problems with them. This seems like a game that could go on forever, but it looks fun.
I'll add to the mix: Assateague.

I just rememberd an article I read in USAToday a few months ago about people with chapel rooms in their homes (a simple room with a few pews, a pedistal with a bible, etc.) for worship. So how about...
