It's so important to get the word out to those who have access to records. Many people don't realize that the old pictures and documents saved by family and now in attics and basements have great historical significance. The American Lighthouse Foundation is doing a fantastic job, but they can't do it all. Thanks, Paul!

I totally agree with the ALF's plea.
We can not hope to preserve ALL lighthouses and are forced to make constant choices as to which ones are to be saved and which ones are sadly lost.
BUT .... we MUST at the very least preserve the memory of as many lights as possible. And that means documents, pictures, post cards, lh items etc. etc. and everyone can and should help.

In the USA there seems to be much more public interest and engagement in all things lighthsou. Here we have some hardworking organisations who try their best. But the public enthusiasm is slow in coming.
So KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK everone !!!
