Bob,

The second set looks as nice as the first set.

They are both outshone by the Restore Cedar Island Pin.

Please bring my set of the 2002 variety and the Restore Cedar Island to the Spring Regional.

I'll send my Paypal payment along later tonight.

Well,

I guess I "spoke" too soon.

I'll send my pay ment along via Paypal when it gets set up.

I got my topics mixed up.

It's the Cruise that is able to be paid for with Paypal. You guys up in LI are a busy bunch.

Bob - can you give us an idea on size? How big are the two cases and what is the diameter of the Cedar Island beauty?

Re: Long Island Lighthouse Pins for Preservation - 03/26/02 06:21 PM

Dennis,
I'll try to set PayPal up for the pins tonight. Ran out of time last night.
Sorry about that.
Only got to set the cruise up for PayPal last night.
I'll let you know when the pins can be purchased via PayPal.
Thanks.

Kristin,

No hurry. I just wanted to get one thing out of the way.

I can wait another day or two to spend my money. I won't get the pins until April 6th anyway (save postage).

Your allowed to get some sleep sometimes.

Hi Dennis - I didn't set up the pins for PayPal yet. I opted for some sleep.
Glad to see you'll be joining us on the Nassau County Lighthouse Cruise!

Hi Mombo - Grucci & fireworks?! However did you make that connection?! LOL! That's the first thing everyone seems to say.

You can buy the pins online now with PayPal! http://www.lilighthousesociety.org/giftshop/pinsspecialpricejune12002.htm
I still have to do the "shopping cart" feature so that you can add different items all to the same purchase, but if you want to purchase single items (or multiples of the single items) online, you can do that now. The "shopping cart" is one more step away.
Thank you for your patience.

We don't need it, but we'll try and practice it.

The pins aren't going anywhere. Well, I guess actually they are.

Tomorrow's another day.

Just wanted to say that MJ and I really enjoy the pins that we bought from Bob at the NJ Regional. Sorry that you didn't feel well enough to make the Regional Kritin. Hopefully we'll see you before long.

Keep up the nice work with the pins and, of course, saving our lighthouses.

Re: Long Island Lighthouse Pins for Preservation - 05/06/02 11:01 PM

I had the pleasure of joining other members and guests of the Long Island Chapter of the United States Lighthouse Society yesterday on the cruise to Execution Rock, Stepping Stones and Sands Point. Many of those on the boat were sporting the new pins listed in this thread. I must say that Cedar Island, Plum Island & Shinnecock lighthouse pins are a nice addition to the pewter sets which we purchased at the Reunion in Baltimore, MD and the Regional in Berkeley Heights, NJ. Keep up the good work and REMEMBER, all of you lighthouse lovers out there, BUY THESE PINS so that you not only spruce up your appearance, you help to SPRUCE UP OUR LIGHTHOUSES.

Re: Long Island Lighthouse Pins for Preservation - 11/01/02 10:55 PM

Gee Bob,

There were actually pictures there all this time? Go figure....

Some of us poor folks have to deal with dial-up connections, so I appreciate your resizing the pics so we all can see.

The pins will make great presents for the lighthouse fan in your family, folks! And, the LI Chapter has a number of on-going stewardship and restoration projects that need the financial support - your purchases will support many great lighthouse projects.

I'm currently selling Cedar Island Lighthouse Pins.

I have two models:
The 2005 version with the white oil house after it was restored which says "Restore Cedar Island". Just a few dozen left.

The 2007 version which has "Cedar Island" on the pin.

Both are $5 each & a $1 for postage and shipping.
If you buy more than one shipping is free.
Tell me which style you'd like.

The original with the red oil house is sold out. The pewter pins, Plum Island, and LI Chapter pins are also sold out.
Please send check to Bob Scroope in my name. All proceeds go to Cedar Island Lighthouse.

thanks,
Bob

Re: Long Island Lighthouse Pins for Preservation - 05/04/07 10:58 PM

Bob,

I'm hopelessly confused. Of course, that's not totally unusual. Bottom line -- how much for one each of every pin noted in this thread. Please let me know. I emailed you awhile back, but you must not have received it.

Once you come up with the final figure, please send me your address. You can send me mail at bahbaht@aol.com -- I do NOT use PayPal. You will receive a cashiers check issued the day after I know how much you want.

A simple list might be helpful to me and maybe to others who are intellectually challenged. laugh

Thank You.
