Out of envelope exchange 2011

My out of envelope cards just went into the mail! They are the only cards I've ever seen of this lighthouse!

I got Rick's card and then noted that the postage for cards is now 29 cents. I had to go buy some 1 cent stamps to use up some of my 28 cent stamps. I had also received a card from Tony & Alma Pasek who went on a society trip to Cape Cod and Martha's Vineyard.

I also got a booklet of the new 29 cent stamps.

Received Ellie's card today! Very nice, wish I had had it when I was still teaching.

I was wondering how long they would take. Mine were mailed Wednesday from Skagway. Any repeats Rick? Lighthouse postcards were not easy to find.

One was a repeat! I found it strange since I have not been an exchange participant as long as many of you! It was not an Alaska card but one I picked from one of the Robins! Doesn't matter though since I really enjoy the exchanges!

My cards will go into the mail today. Mine will not be of any Alaskian lights.

Also I finally got through all my stacked up mail and found the Robin from Tom was waiting for me. That will go into today's mail as well.

I received a wonderful card from the McB's, the Washington Lighhouses. I love it. How many lights are in Washington? When we went to Admiralty Head back in 1998, I bought a fleece sweater and it had 14 different Washington lighhouses on it.

I received Tom's card today - Cape Lookout. To answer you Tom, back in '99, we went as far south as Ocracoke and saw them moving Cape Hatteras.

I know there are more to see down that way. On the way to SC back in '08, we stopped in at Oak Island and could see Old Baldy in the "far" distance. What is between Okracoke and Oak Island besides Cape Lookout?

Carolyn - Washington lights- more of those to see yet
Nancy - Alaska lights - we saw 3 of these
Tom - Cape Lookout - I need to get back there

Only a couple more left, and we have till July 15th. Counting mine, more than half were about lights we saw on the cruise. It was great to meet so many of you face to face. I hope we get to do it again!

I received Judy's card on Saturday, 2 July. I never thought of a light in MO, but then who thought of lights in NE. We saw the one near Scotts Bluff.

Received Don's card today. Been to Assateague a few times and is a nice place to visit. I took pictures but did not get a postcard. Now I can add this to my postcard library.

I received Don's card today. I never made it to Assateague or Chincoteague. Like those two lights in WI that we just drove by, somehow driving down 13, we always bypassed those as well.
