Do You Want to Participate in a Post Card Round Robin?

Do You Want to Participate in a Post Card Round Robin? - 03/31/04 03:05 AM

In the effort to improve the operation of the post card round robins, we are going to try something new. I am going to ask that everyone interested in participating in a round robin sign in here - even if you are in one of the existing robins. Once the last of RR 8 returns home to me, we will begin a new series of robins.

Mombo, Pharologst and I will each oversee a robin. However, membership will be determined by "luck of the draw" assignement from the master list generated by your sign in here. We will limit the size of each robin (probably 6-8 people in each, depending on how many sign up). We hope to speed up the robins a bit, but also to mix up who you are exchanging cards with.

Please bear with us as we try this method to see if it helps the robins. I think we all agree that they are fun, and can bring a bunch of new cards into your collection when they fly thru.

If you are interested in participating, please sign in below. If you are not in a post card exchange of some sort with me at the current time, please email me your mailing address. Sue, George and I are the first three signing in.

We could take about 4 more players if you are interested. I would like to keep the number of players to 18-21 so the robins stay at only 6-7 people each. We will divide up the participants into robins once we hit 18 +/or the end of RR8 returns to me.

Forget my question on how round robin's work. Read Saint John's description under RR #8. Will be glad to participate in this latest round robin if there's still openings to be filled. eek

In the next few days I will divide the 18 people signed up so far into three robins. Those of you who need to get me an address need to do so ASAP. I will post robin assignments here, but then each of the three instigators (Sue, George and yours truly) will start their robins and start a new thread for that robin.

If you have not signed up, but are interested, please do sign in. We will add to the robins if need be, and if we can get enough additional folks we will start up another robin. When these new robins have made the full circle, we will re-shuffle the players before the following round.

Our current round robins are almost completed and will be restarted when the final one returns home. All current participants should have received an email from me.

If you did not participate in the current set of round robins, but would like to join in please post a note here and email me your mailing address.

Well, I was wondering why I haven't seen any robins lately. Guess I wasn't signed up on any as of late?? confused

Dave, please sign me up again now. If you would please. My mailing situation hasn't changed, I'm still in Jacksonville and my mail is still going to Mobile. But if you all will allow, I would still like to play!!!!!!!!!

Last robin should be on its way to Sue now. I have shuffled the deck some and re-dealt. Your new robin leader will get you your instructions and addresses. Thanks for doing a great job with the last set. Looking forward to another fun robin.
