Received the RR5 in mail yesterday. Took all ten cards and replaced them with new. RR5 back in mail this morning to Christine.
Instructions and labels easy, and the postcards were from an area that I was in need.
This is fun!

Re: Round Robin #5 - 10/09/02 04:32 PM

Good! I'm glad you received them Bob. I haven't heard from Jennifer yet for the other Round Robin. I'm glad the postcards were what you needed - I really do love trading cards this way - it gives you more of a variety to choose from.

I tried to make it as easy as possible with the intructions and the labels, but it seems that some are still having a bit of a problem - like Jennifer. frown Hopefully it's just something simple.

Hope everyone else enjoys the Robin - please keep posting so we can keep this robin on track. Thanks!

Re: Round Robin #5 - 10/22/02 03:44 AM

I'm glad to hear that you received the Robin George. I guess Christine is probably one of the many "guests" that we have and was unable to post the receipt/sending of the robin. I'm glad that it was sent on. smile

Please remember everyone - please post when you receive the robin and when you send it. If you are not a forum member, you can email me that you received it and are sending it and I will post it for you. Thank you! smile

I hope the robin keeps going strong and that everyone gets a bunch of cards they need. By the way, if anyone has any postcards of Alcatraz Lighthouse, CA, I would greatly appreciate them. As with every lighthouse lover that has ONE Lighthouse they would LOVE to visit if they could pick from any in the world - Alcatraz is mine. laugh

BonnieJean,

Chris is a regular participating member of the forums.

How badly do you want an Alcatraz card????????

Re: Round Robin #5 - 10/22/02 08:56 PM

Okay, if Chris is a regular forum member, then she either forgot to post the receiving of the robin or was unable to post. Either way, I'm glad that George got the robin and everything is going well with this robin. I was starting to get worried about it, as was Bob S. that doesn't seem to have very good luck with these things (Round Robin #2). wink

Okay, what do you mean by "how badly do you want an Alcatraz card?" Are we talking money, favors shocked , or postcards in exchange of? I would rather personally visit the lighthouse, but until I can, I will have to settle for the postcards. wink If any of you have one, I would be willing to trade more valuable postcards for it. I have a postcard that is a black & white sketch of Port Boca Grande that cost me a bit more than the usual postcards. Anyone interested?

Re: Round Robin #5 - 12/20/02 06:38 PM

eek OK folks it's time for a VOTE ! eek

I have already received and mailed out this round of the RR#5, however you may (or) may not want to vote me out of all future mailings. I would like to stay in, but it's up to you all.

Here's the situation: As of January 5, I will going up to Georgia to work a construction job. I will be there for an estimated 6 months, working 7-10's. I will be taking my computer with me, but wont have much time to be on it. frown May check and post to the Forum only once a week.

Now for the real problem: I will be having my mail forwarded to me in GA! This will mean a delay in my receiving the Round Robins. My address will remain the same. My mail will be collected and forwarded to me in bulk once a week. Depending on when the RR arrives at my mail box it could be as much as two weeks before I actually get it in my hands. frown

I have lots of postcards ready to exchange, and will take them to GA with me, so I can get it back out and on it's way the next day after receiving it. But are you all willing to wait the week or maybe two for the forwarding? That is the question! You vote and I will except your answer! confused

Re: Round Robin #5 - 12/26/02 01:41 AM

Steph, if you give me the address of where you are staying we will just mail the round robin directly to where you are and we won't have to worry about any delay or possible problems with you receiving your postcards. Just make sure you bring lots of postcards with ya - don't want you to run out while you're out of town. laugh

Re: Round Robin #5 - 02/19/03 07:57 PM

Nothing received in Desoto yet. I believe Stephanie's mail is being forwarded once a week to her temporary job in Georgia. This could account for the delay.

Belated Post:

Sorry folks, yes the delay in this RR was my fault. Without going into details, there was a mix up in my mail being forwarded. But be assured this should not happen again!

Again, I am sorry for the delay, and am glad to see it now running smoothly once more.

1) Tom & Joyce Abbott - Desoto, TX
2) Shortcake - Mobile, AL
3) Jake - Highland, IN
4) RScroope - Mount Sinai, NY
5) Pharologst - Murphy, NC
6) JoAnn - Astoria, OR
7) Christine Grass - Florissant, MO
8) Me - Brooksville, FL

As always, please post here when you receive/send the round robin. Thank you for your patience in my delay. I promise this won't happen again (at least not for a while wink )

Re: Round Robin #5 - 05/22/03 05:53 PM

Is the USPS just slow??
Posted By: Tom and Joyce Abbott

Re: Round Robin #5 - 05/22/03 07:19 PM

Really slow or lost? Took three weeks from Texas to Stephanie in Alabama. Stephanie is having her mail forwarded to Georgia so it takes a little longer. But now it been over two weeks since it was sent from Georgia to Indiana. Maybe the Robin's wings are getting tired. smile
