Received the package back from RR#10-1 today. We are way ahead of some of the other RR's and will have to wait for their cycle completion before we shuffle the members betweent them and start over. Thanks to all for your attentive participation, and look forward to RR#10-2.

Now would be a good time for anyone who wishes to join in to contact either myself, Mombo, or Dave H. to get in the next cycles of RR 9, 10, or 11.

Re: Round Robin #10 - 08/25/04 08:38 PM

Sorry that the latest robins haven't been good for you Charles. It sure is becoming pretty difficult to come up with new cards for these. I try to keep a record of what cards I've passed on to whom in order to avoid duplication if possible. There do seem to be some cards that just keep going around. When I get a robin that contains these I just yank them out and hope for some new participants to send them to!

Re: Round Robin #10 - 08/26/04 01:49 PM

I guess the more cards you collect the harder it gets to find anything new.

Re: Round Robin #10 - 08/26/04 02:08 PM

Sorry Charles that nothing was in there for you. Sometimes that happens to me as well. mos times I'm happy to get just one (or maybe two). Dave and I will honor your request and remove you from the rotation. Jump back in when you feel like it.

Re: Round Robin #10 - 08/26/04 07:18 PM

I like Sue's idea about keeping a record with respect what is sent on to folks in order to avoid duplication. I have done this to a certain extent, but need to do a better job. eek

Do you suspect a limit on the number of cards removed and replaced on the robin would help in some marginal way?? confused

Re: Round Robin #10 - 08/26/04 08:18 PM

I have no idea in the hundreds, probally over a thousand pcs that I have, what I have or what I sent but I normally take most and put recent fresh ones that I've acquired into the robin. I even became a NW Lighthouse PC guy last year since we were looking for some people from that area. I circulated about 50 through the Robin as the order was shuffled, and don't remember seeing them the next round. I always enjoy seeing the pcs and will look a them a few weeks before they enter the collection. Good news for Mombo, I've got some interesting New England pcs I got in Watch Hill RI that I never saw before. So I got one for me and one for the Robin. I believe I'm the last before they return to you Sue, so I hope I got a few that you need?
I always enjoy receiving the pcs especially from those who take the extra step to find a little treasure wink to send. (that includes the in-the-envelope, and no-envelope pces too!) And most do! eek
Thanks to all, it's always nice to find a little pc amongst the bills and junk mail!

Sorry I haven't been very active lately, but had to make another emergency trip to Fl again this last week. My father's cancer has moved into his brain and he only has "weeks" left according to the experts. I'm not ignoring everyone or the Forums, just have had a lot to do lately.

Re: Round Robin #10 - 12/03/04 05:41 AM

It's Dec already and the RR has not yet arrived. Here we go again, the USPS is probably the culprit. The RR could probably have been walked here to Murphy already. As far as I'm concerned the USPS is a necessry evil, but i would sure like to see a transponder invented to move postal articles thru the electronic plasma so they (USPS) can be completely eliminated!!!!

Re: Round Robin #10 - 12/03/04 05:46 AM

George, remember the old Circuit Riding preachers? I sometimes wonder if you have a circuit riding mailperson. Murphy one day, then another the next, and then another before returning to Murphy in two weeks or so. . . . . .

It's Here!!! Waiting for the next shuffle for RR10-5 to start. It's hard to believe that we have completed 4 circuits already!!
