It's probably a replacement piece that someone at the factory stuck a higher number on. Seems odd to have gray felt and no rod though. (May have the hole but the rod fell out or was broken off)

The very first HL I purchased was Southeast Light. Mine is Flag#3560, which happens to be close to the Flag# on the one on auction. Made in Canada? Maybe the sticker was. Gray felt? Mine is green.

No box with this great piece so I would say forget the made in Canada sticker, forget the grey felt, remember there is no box, and bid like this piece is just another Southeast Block LE HL.

I don't know of any HL 128 that had an authentic rod. I heard rumors of one several years ago, but I don't remember that it was verified...Frank Carbone

I have a made-in-Canada SE Block, #1149, very thin green felt, signed by father, mother, and both daughters, great piece! This one was never produced with a lightning rod.

I have both a Canadian mold and a Malaysian mold with a lighting rod. and according to the Green Book there were pieces with lighting rods produced in both Canada and Malaysia. Split Rock was the last piece sequentially numbered (101-124) LE with a rod, although the #129 New London Ledge was the actual last piece produced with a rod.

I would be careful with a piece that says it is Canadian with no box, since you could just place a sticker from another piece on it. Also it does not look like it has a rod, and one would assume all Canadian pieces would have a rod, since they were also produced with rods when the production moved to Malaysia and was discontinued in Canada.

The HL128 SE Block, Flag #283, that I own has a thin green felt and a round Made in Canada sticker on it's bottom. It does not have a lightning rod nor a hole for a lightning rod.
