July 4th Regional - 04/23/04 03:37 AM

Surely, if you are going to the Regional in San Fran, some of you have made arrangements already. Who is headed to CA? When are you arriving and departing? Let me hear from you.

Derith,
We have not finalized our plans yet but at this time we are looking at arriving on June 30th and staying through July 10th. We are scoping out the airfares right now. We are planning on staying at a hotel close to Jack London Square prior to the regional. The rest of the trip we will be staying with Roy's brother. We'll keep you updated. smile

Hello again,
Kate and I will be there. We should be arriving 6/30 (late) and be leaving 7/6 (early). Have you or anybody started to look for accomodations. I know JC has but was wondering what was close to the regional. We have airline tix,car and tix for the HL bay cruise but not lodging. Would appreciate input on lodging from anybody that's been there before.

I'll be in the San Francisco area from July 2-7. Before that I'll be driving up from LA to enjoy some lights on the coast. Do you have any idea how to see San Luis Obispo if there is no Pecho Coast Trail hike scheduled on the day I'm passing through (Wed June 30th or Thurs July 1st)?

Re: July 4th Regional - 05/12/04 03:38 AM

As mentioned some time back, we will have rooms available at the Club Quarters in San Francisco. This is in the Embarcadero area. Room rates are $66 for a single, $79 for a double queen bed or $99 for a slightly larger room with either a queen or two twins. None of the rooms sleep 3 and they don't have rollaways at this hotel.

Tax is additional. Parking is non-hotel at $30 per 24 hours. You can get along fine without a car in SF, but you'll need one on Sunday to go to Oakland and back. Public transportation won't work well on the Holiday.

I'll have a sign-up form for the hotel tomorrow. HL is looking it over. This offer is made by Club Quarters, not Harbour Lights.

Those who made the trek to Chicago a couple of years ago will remember that Club Quarters is a nice place to stay.

The SF Club Quarters has 300+ rooms on 11 floors and is located at 424 Clay Street. It has been open less than a year.

Rooms are available from Thursday, June 30 with departure on Monday, July 5. It MIGHT be possible to add a day or two on, I'm not sure. Rates might be higher for extra days if available.

You can now request your reservations for Club Quarters on line. You should receive an email acknowledgement in 7-10 days. Don't worry about getting a room.

They have plenty.
