It's been over a week, but no one else has reported on the Annapolis event, so I guess I'll put in my two cents worth.

I chose this event so I could combine it with a ride out to the Thomas Point Light on the boat that makes the trip at 4:30 PM daily. It threatened rain all day, but rained for only about ten minutes - the ten minutes we were circling the light! My photos weren't great, but came out better than expected.

Arrived at the signing about 6:30 PM. The turnout was light; maybe most of the wackos went to Savage, MD or Dulles, VA. The store was crammed full of last minute shoppers for Mothers' Day, however.

A light turnout is kind of nice. Lonnie Davidson and I were able to chat with Bill at some length without feeling that we were holding up a line. Bill supplied us with the tidbits that Lonnie alluded to last week in the Rumors Forum. Concerning the lighthouse in question, he stated "We have it . . . it's done, just not released yet." No clue as to when it will be released, though.

I stayed around till 8:00, spent time talking with the rep - a very pleasant lady whose name escapes me. I'd recently visited Old Point Comfort Light and was interested to hear that it was she who took the pictures for the HL sculpture.

As I was leaving, Bill was still going strong after a long, hectic day. I hope he enjoyed it as much as I did. I suspect that he always does.
