We will meet you in St Louie... Well actually in Florrisant, MO at Nagles, 19 Patterson Plaza, from 11:00-1:00...

Today, March 13th is the first signing of the year and Sue & I will be there; several of the Gateway Club, fellow Hoosier Lighthousing Club members, will be there also..

I will post some images in this thread tonight..

It was a real fun event and there was a very nice turnout!

Nagle's did a really nice job of hosting the first HL Event of 2004!

Here's Carolyn McBee at the Gateway's Club table.. The Club had an opportunity drawing for a couple of HL's to raise money for the Thunder Bay Lighthouse restoration project.. I believe she said they raised $93 which they will send to the Thunder Bay group..

This event gave Sue and I the opportunity to give Bill personally the Bodie Print, #1 of the 55 signed Bruce Robert, that we had matted and framed for him, Nancy & Kim..

Bill signs the Gold event piece given away at this year's first event, won by Roy McBee!!

The McBee's are on quite a roll winning Gold event lighthouses! They also won two Gold Mark Twain's at former St Louis area signings two years ago.. the second of which Carolyn gave back to Bill to draw someone else's name. Maybe that is why they won the first gole event drawing of 2004..

The McBee's Bill Doll seems to be telling the Gold Sister Event Lighthouse, "Your going home with me Sister!"

Gee, who would ever have guessed that Roy would win something, much less the gold piece??? Congratulations, Roy. And, thanks to the Gateway Lightkeepers for supporting the Thunder Bay light.

By the way, why is Bill wearing last year's badge? Looks like Carolyn is sporting the 2003 and the reunion versions on her lanyard, and Roy also has an older badge on. . . . Nice to see Paul modeling the current version....

Well you see Dave, there just wasn't enough time to add the new badges before the event. Rest assured the badges were in the camera bag with us and they will be proudly worn next weekend for the Regional Event. laugh Great pictures Paul, I am glad the one of the Bodie print presentation turned out. Thanks to the support of everyone who attended this event and Bill's signing event last August,in Hannibal and St. Louis, the Gateway Lightkeepers club will be making a $200.00 donation to support the Thunder Bay Island Lighthouse.

Carolyn McBee...

By the way Bill was in shock and awe, when I put the rare never been produced Montauk OE 1997© in front of him.. He wanted to know where I got it.. The rep for St Louis area said he hadn't got one at the time, in fact he said he hadn't even seen one before right then..

Bill couldn't remember the reason or reasons why it was never produced. He did say my theory, about why it has the number it does on it; is probably correct.. I guess I will next have to ask Harry about the lighthouse, next..

Bill signed it first signed, maybe?

He couldn't remember whether he was asked to to sign the one after the Providence Reunion's auction was over..

Hey Paul, ...Is it the one and only or is there a chance there are other Montauks like yours out there?

Probably are a few out there, Bob, but probably under a dozen.. I know of two for sure, mine and the one that was auctioned at the Providence Reunion..

Paul,

Great photos of what certainly looks like a great event. I'm hoping to get to one of the events here in Massachusetts, but they all seem to fall on weekends when I'm busy. Looks like I've got to work on my schedule a little bit to free up some time.

It was a great event, but bittersweet. The first signing event of the year was also the last signing event this year for the state of Missouri. Looks like the President will be here more often than Harbour Lights this year.
