Summer Regional - 04/11/02 06:34 PM

I see from the revised events list that the location has been announced as:

Lincolnwood Comm. Ctr.
6900 Lincolnwood Ave.
Lincolnwood, IL
Sat, June 29th from 5-7

Do we know if this is near the Rosemont Convention Ctr or the Comfort Suites in Schiller, IL?

Could always look at my map but thought maybe someone already knows? If it's not walkable those of us flying in will have to find rides.

No Sue, it is not really near the Hotel. It will actually be about a half hour to forty minute drive on a Saturday evening, (depending on road construction!). Kinda tough to figure this one, although I know they were having a hard time finding a place around the show. Lincolnwood is just north of the city, about halfway between Rosemont and Grosse Point Lighthouse.

The location is 11 miles from Rosemont and 13 miles from the hotel.. It is slightly North of the Covention Center and mostly East towards the lake...

about 1/2 mile East and 1/2 mile South of exit #39 of Interstate 94

It looks like you can take Interstate 90 over to Interstate 94...

Yes, thanks, I also looked at my map. We didn't seem to have any problems getting all to Grosse Point a couple years ago so will probably be ok for this year, especially seeing how some of the "drivers" have like really big vehicles!

Sue, I had started another thread with a map from Rosemont to Lincolnwood http://www.lighthousekeepers.com/forums/Forum38/HTML/000003.html

Unfortunatly there is no exit ramp from 90 east to 94 west you would need to exit before the junction and drive side streets to get back on 94. But that could be fixed by routing that way.

Here is the maps I created before
Chicago Regional Event Map

Click here for a more friendly map to print out 9.5 inches tall(turned sideways)
The route I set up is all major streets and I am guessing about 25-40 minutes It showed 8.77 miles this way
