Nana's Photos of Yerba Buena

I haven't seen this posted anywhere yet, but it is hard to believe no one else has spotted it.

I received a postcard in the mail from Lighthouse Gallery & Gifts promoting their May 26th Bill Event. On the front of the card is Bill holding the Yerba Buena piece and there are photos of the actual lighthouse. Turning the card over, in the fine print at the bottom what do I find? photos by Derith Bennett

Congratulations Derith! Those are great photos. It is cool that Harbour Lights used them for the promo postcards.

These postcards have just now "hit the streets". Those of us in the midwest are seeing ones sent way early by some of the larger dealers that we have dealt with in the past. Remember, today is the start of the 2001 Bill Signing Season so the cards are very, very new.

I do believe Derith is one of the folks who has been after HL for a while to produce a Yerba Buena piece. She also sent lots of pictures, being one of the chosen few to be allowed near the light.

You know how proud Derith has to be about HL using her great pictures. It is so great to see our forum friends fain such wonderful recognition from HL.

I also noticed the pictures by Derith. I looked back through my post cards that I have received from Forum Friends in the Post Card Exchanges and was thrilled to see that the post card that I received from Derith back in Oct. 2000 is one of the same photos featured in the promo. Great Photos Derith!! Congratulations, this is quite an honor.

Thank you all for your nice words. I really did campaign for Yerba Buena, as Dave said, and really am thrilled my photos were used on the promotional HLs postcards. The day I was there was just a beautiful day in the neighborhood.
