I would recommend highly, to one and all, the event at John Wisnewski's Bayside Treasures store. Sue and I have been to a lot of events and John's last Harbour Lights event is at the very top of our list. It was the best. The fact that John and his wife, Linda, are two of the nicest people on this earth probably has something to do with that. Needless to say, the Bradys will be there on Saturday Nov. 6th at 10:00AM Eastern time.

I too am going to try and be there. I have a few conflicting schedules to work out, but there is a good chance. Will also definately be at the Akron signing later in the day too. Hope to see you there Paul.

We are definitely going to be at the event at Bayside Treasures. We have been looking forward to this since it was announced.
Hope to finally meet some of the people who have entertained us on this site and the previous AOL site.
We plan to get there early to make sure we get the event piece and any other pieces we are after. Hope to see you there.

A source told me that Bill is coming armed with plenty of pens for the Bayside Treasures signing, that sounds like a challenge to me.

Was planning to go to the Akron event, but it looks like there will be a greater Wacko population in Toledo, so I'll try to be there, too!

We received two new pieces yesterday just in time for the event - Coquille River GLOW and South Bass Island, OH.

There's still time to order these for Bill's signature tomorrow!!

Just got back to Indy, we had a great time!

There were some Wacko's and 'One Old' Saint at John W's Bayside Treasures signing today plus a lot of other great Harbour Light collectors that also enjoyed the lavish spread to the delight their palates.

Bill was at his story telling best, telling the Bob story when someone brought one to the signing table to be signed.

My wife Sue's white sweater makes a nice background to help make the Bob tree stand out. I will post more later about the young future reporter(green shirt) and her sparing match with Bill over the turn of the century.

On the way home from Toledo, we went to 8 stores carrying Harbour Lights (6 for the first time) and did retired@retail listing.

All in all, it was a great lighthousing day!

At one point during the signing, Bill took the opportunity to ask if everyone had seen the card with the picture of the "what-cha-ma-call-it" display on the main counter in front of him. He was very careful to call it the "turn of the century" piece and not the Millennium piece. The young future reporter stated that it wasn’t the new Millennium this January 1st and Bill said that is why they named it the turn of the century piece. She then stated that the turn of the century will take place at the same time as the new Millennium starts. Bill started to disagree, when she stated in no uncertain terms, "I learned that in the 6th grade!" There were some chuckles and a little silence and then I said, "she will definitely make a good reporter." Everyone laughed and Bill got back to signing and storytelling.

By the way, for those who saw the "what-cha-ma-call-it" in Atlanta, you were amongst the first to see it the world. Bill said that some reps were just now seeing the picture on the card in a packet sent to them and the dealers who get their Legacy ahead of the collectors have seen it there in just the last week or so.

I also noticed that Bill was very particular in refering to it as "Liberty Enlightening the World", not of "Statue of Liberty"

Do you mean the "what-cha-ma-call-it"?

Turn of the Century occurs on January 1, 2001
I thought I would research the young ladies information of when the Turn of the Century starts. She stated that she learned when the Turn of the Century starts when she was in the 6th grade. What I found out was that I also learned when the Turn of the Century occurs, in either the 6th or 7th grade. The following image is scanned from my 7th grade dictionary, amazing as that seems I still have it. I probably kept it for this post!
