Prayers needed for Jerry and Derith Bennett..

I thought I would post the latest from Derith Bennett for those of you who aren't on facebook...

Jerry, Derith's husband, under went brain surgery yesterday in Tampa..

From Derith:

Surgery went well. Jerry should be in ICU soon. The tumors have been identified as Glioblastoma. Since these most always have hidden cells hiding in the brain. There will be 5 weeks of radiation and a chemo pill each day. The doctor feels like there will be more tumors that may be eligible for surgery. This type tumor is not usually curable. Fifteen months is what has been projected. Your continued love and prayer support are so very important to us as we head down this unknown path with God's Grace.

We met Derith and her husband many year's ago at a retreat in Leesburg Florida. They are a nice couple and Amy and I will keep both of them in our prayers.

When bad things happen to good people, I always wonder why. Continual prayers asking for blessings are being sent your way Derith.

We'll pray for both Derith & Jerry during this difficult time.

Gary and I have you in our hearts, and all good wishes go out to you both.

Jerry is a man of strong faith, and he and Derith are drawing heavily on their faith during this time. He knows he is in good hands.

Jerry & Derith are certainly in our prayers and I know that there are many, many people out there doing the same.
