Rushed My Dad To Hospital

Rushed My Dad To Hospital - 01/26/07 04:26 AM

I had to rush my dad to the hospital...shortness of breadth, high blood pressure...low sugar. He was just all over the map.
He had a stent put in a few years back and is diabetic. They are keeping him overnite and running more tests in the morning.
Please keep him in your prayers!

Went to try to visit him this afternoon and he was away having more testing done. Never did get to see him so I don't have any status to give yet.
Will try to visit him either later today or tonight.

I'm going through something similar. I had my Dad, who will be 90 on 2/2/07, rushed to the hospital last weekend for an unknown illness. It turned out to be a blockage in his bowels. Emergency surgery took out a two foot section and four days in ICU. He is being moved to a rehab facility tomorrow. He has a long recovery ahead of him. Tough thing to go through at 90.

Please remember both "Bobs" dads in your thoughts and prayers.

Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers!
I do believe that they are working!!!

Spent some time with him last night at the hospital. Waiting on results for tests. He had heart problems for a few years now...thought there might be more issues around that. They are re-arranging some of his medications and hopefully that might be all it is. He is still in the hospital.
I hope to have more info later today.

Brought Dad home from the hospital and he seems to have things under control for the moment at least! Answered prayers!
His medications seemed to be the culprit as the tests all showed negative or nothing wrong.
I had him laughing and I know it's been awhile since he had a good belly laugh so I know he was feeling better!
Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers!
This forum is GREAT! Thanks for the support!

Wonderful news! smile

Medicines can do strange things to the body, along with diet with the elderly. My mother takes many different meds daily, so I can make claim on this statement!

Keep a watchful eye on the elderly with the meds!

You can me to the list of people praying for the two Dads.

I believe that prayers are always answered in some way -- but possibly not in the way that we had intended.
