Next Wednesday on May 5th Shirin will be celebrating her birthday. Well, she's going to be starting the celebration a little early going on the May 1st Chesapeake Chapter boat trip out of Reedsville, VA which will go north as far as Thomas Point.

Thank you all for the birthday wishes. As Mombo pointed out, I did start celebrating early this year. I attended the Chesapeake Chapter's cruise on the Bay on Saturday with friends from NY and MD. The true highlight of the weekend was that we all went on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge walk. I have been going to this event for 20 years now and the last 2 years, the walk has been cancelled. But this walk made #18. Little did my mother know that she would start such a birthday tradition for me back in elementary school.
