That is a nice one -- and I explored 'Covered Bridges' through Google after seeing that site and discovered a whole 'parallel universe' to our lighthouse affliction and enthusiasm.

I'm trying very hard to stay out of that other world John but it is getting harder and harder. I just recieved a very nice covered bridge calendar from NELL friends at our event on Saturday. The bridges are definately invading my lighthouse space at work!

Well, my lighthouse books outnumber my covered bridge books by 2.5 to 1. I have visited 164 bridges as opposided to 251 lighthouses. Fortunately most miniatures of covered bridges are not nearly as nice as Harbour Lights. Someday, if I ever get around to building a model railroad (of a streetcar/interurban system), there will be both a lighthouse and a covered bridge on the layout.

I was in Parke County several years ago, but it was in July. I would love to come to Indiana and spent about two weeks looking for bridges.
