Prayers For Kat

On Feb 15th Kat hurt her back at work when trying to transfer a wheelchair bound patient to the surgical cart. She has been off since with a buldging disc and what the doctors are calling spondololysthesis....say that fast 3 times. Some of her neves are being pinched and she is having numbness in her legs when she stands or sits for any lenght of time. Say a prayer that this problem can be resolved without surgery. We know the Lord will see us through!!

Larry, I'll keep Kat in my prayers. Hope all goes well and she is back to normal soon.

Thanks for the prayers everyone, Larry's shoulder is healing well, he graduated from physical therapy...he got his T-shirt from the hospital PT department. He still is not 100% but he is really close. Me on the other hand...I have numbness that goes from my lower back down to my feet when I sit or stand for any length of time...which is more annoying and a bit uncomfortable. The pain has let up. I go see the workmans comp doctor tomorrow and then to the physiatrist..a specialist in back arm and leg injuries...on Monday. This past Monday I received a big steroid injection at the area of the buldging disc. I have been told that one of the bones in the spine is fractured and I have had a shift in one of the vertebrae which is causing some nerves to be pinched off. So..I am attempting to get some extra weight off, doing physical therapy and using heat and cold therapy at home. I can tolerate the discomfort with Advil or Motrin now which is a real plus. Keep the prayers coming though, I believe in miracles!!!!!

Kat, sounds like you and Larry are taking turns! Hopefully, Larry will be totally recovered soon. I hope that you are able to get by without surgery - can't believe that you are not in terrible pain! Will keep you both in my prayers.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Kat. Lorna just had her second MRI last Sunday in Boston. Two pain shots to the back did nothing for her so they needed to take another look for what is causing her pain. This has been going on for almost a year. Hopefully, some relief will be coming soon.

A Quick Update..
I saw the doctor on Monday and he wants to test my nerves to see if there is significant damage. He said if there is damage we will probably be looking at surgery. He will be doing a test called an EMG on Thursday, I am still off work and have a difficult time sitting or standing for very long...I am getting very frustrated but I will keep on praying. I know the Lord has me going through this for a reason. I appreciate the prayers more than you know...God Bless You All.
