Grandson for TexasLights - 05/17/02 05:29 PM

This has been an amazing day. My first grandchild was born this morning at 7:36 am. He is a whopper at 9lbs 1oz and 21 inches. He is very alert, with a little brown hair and very dark blue eyes. Needless to say, he already has me wrapped around his little finger! Terry

Congratulations Terry -- and to your daughter and son-in-law or vice versa.

Enjoy the primary Grandma role of "spoiling the child rotten!".

Congratulations to Terry and the proud parents. So, when are you taking your grandson lighthousing? Did you remember to buy a Little Light to start him off on the right foot?

I hadn't thought about the Little Light, I'll have to go out and get one. He will be visiting lighthouses with me at the earliest possible moment. I haven't gotten him any lighthouse shirts or socks but I will!

Thanks to everyone! My daughter reminded me that I did get him his first pair of Nubble Lighthouse socks at Lighthouse Depot last summer. Now all he needs is a T-shirt and a Wacko Badge and he's set! Terry

Congrat's. to all! It's great to have that first grandchild! My grandsons are 31/2 and 2. Took the elder to Marblehead a few weeks ago, his limited vocabulary now includes the word "lighthouse"- imagine that!

Terry,
Congratulations on your new grandson! Our
daughter just gave us our first grandchild on 4/28 - an 8 lb. 1 1/2 oz., 21" long girl.
Rich has already been burning up the film in the regular camera as well as the discs in the digital camera.
Guess we can all "brag" together.

Congrats on the first grandchild, Terry! Lorna and I have two grandsons, ages 6 and 4. My younger son just got married this weekend but he and his new bride may wait a couple of years before having children. Lorna and I both hope they have a little girl.

Grandkids are great!

Re: Grandson for TexasLights - 06/04/02 08:13 PM

Forget about the LH gifts Terry, take him to his first lighthouse and post the picture for us to see! He's obviously a Texas sized baby who's ready for lighthousing.
CONGRATS - Bob
ps Does he have a name? One of my nephew's names is Dallas as in Cowboys!

Re: Grandson for TexasLights - 06/04/02 10:56 PM

His name is Kirk Robert Moore III. In our family he should have been named Longhorn, as in The University of Texas. My daughter and son-in-law would have never gone along with that! I like your suggestion about the lighthouse visit. I have many plans to take him traveling. Terry

Terry,
As my "Aint Nell" would say, "God bless that precious darlin'" (Must be said with the deepest of Southern accents!)

Congratulations!
