My condolences go out to Fred and his family. Although I've only met Fred and Lou at the 1998 HL Reunion, I often chatted with both of them via the Internet. Most everytime I chatted with Fred, he would would type in these words from Lou, "Tell Birdie I said hi." (Lou was referring to my AOL address of Biri97.)

Rest in peace, Lou. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you, Fred, and your family.

Sadly, from the East Coast...

I am sorry for your loss Fred. I lost my Dad many years ago on Dec. 14. The time of year makes it harder, but the memories make it better, and last forever. Our prayers are with you.

Hi everyone, I promised Fred to post this picture showing all the flowers and planters for Lou.

I also am posting a note from Fred..

Quote:
I’d like to thank each and every one of you personally for your kind thoughts, prayers, and offers of help. You can't imagine what a comfort it is to have people, many of whom you have never met personally, sending words of encouragement and comfort at an extremely trying time. Unless it happens to you personally (and may a merciful God spare you) you can't realize what friends mean. As most of you know, Lou never met a stranger. Her cheerfulness and joy of life will be hard to replace. I still look for her daily.

I finally located a picture that I took at Providence of the matriarch of Harbour Lights, Nancy Younger, Fred and Lou in front with her ever engaging smile.
