I may be a couple of days late but I hope you had a very Happy Birthday Margret!

Wow! What a nice surprise!
We just returned from our travels in Germany (we both celebrated our birthdays there!) And my first look on the CF brings me to this lovely lot of messages!
Thank you all for thinking of me!
We had a great day with Iris (lightshipfan) and her partner on my birthday and then later we had a joint party at my parents.
Joint, because it was Stan's birthday on the 17th of August
Thanks again for the messages!!

My sister baked it for our joint birthday party! it was nearly three foot long and as you can see, even had "a light". And it tasted brilliant too! Thanks Beate!

Now that is one heck of a cake. I've never seen anything even close to being like it. You could probably freeze it and use it again for the next couple of years.

Oh the cake tasted at least as good as it looks! We had 13 people eating some, but still more than 1/2 went in the freezer. My parents will have to dispose of it bit by bit.
Or maybe they will keep it unitl we return to Germany at Christmas!
My sister just makes GREAT cakes!
