It's a poor excuse, I know, but I've been bedridden with the flu for the last week and a half. Feeling well enough this morning to drag my carcass to the PC, I made this my first priority.
(His first priority was to post monthly update on the ebay secondary market.

Thanks Art. You take care and get better.

Anybody else down with the flu? We'll wish you a 'get well' too.

"Knock on wood...", Everyone in my family is healthy and has avoided even the common cold so far this Fall/Winter. Everyone always hopes they can make it through the holiday season without getting ill. Many times all those hugs and kisses from holiday parties can spread germs and illnesses. I guess that's the chance you take when you are sharing the spirit of the holidays.

Art... I hope you get over that mess very soon! Thanks for dragging your carcass out of bed and posting the Market Ticker. Last time I had the flu was back in 1982, and I don't want it again.

Tim - Merry Christmas!

Thanks so much everyone. I'm on the downside of this now. It's been a rough go for the last 10 days or so, but I'm going to try to go to work for a few hours tomorrow. Good thing I have remote access to my work e-mail. I pretty much know what's in store for me already, and have even taken a few items out of the way today.

I hope no one else gets this!

On behalf of the medical profession, I would like to apologize for the shortage of flu vaccine this year. It's not really anyone's fault- just a lot of pieces of the puzzle did not fall into place at the right time.
I was fortunate enough to be able to get a flu shot 3 weeks ago. If you can get one, please do. Everyone take care of yourself!

I am glad you are getting better Art. I came down with the 24-hour variety after coming back from Michigan City and going to the company Christmas party (it wasn't food poison as no one else got sick). We got home from the party and I sat down on the couch and told Sue I think I am going to..... 23 hours later I was still... then I was all better. This version was bad enough; I don't want it any longer than that.
Our flu shots were this last Friday at work (visiting nurse program); the TV station has been picking up the tab for everybody to get them for the last three years. I normally get it a lot earlier but because of the shortage of vaccine, it was a lot later this year for me, but it was free.

Don't forget, the flu shot only covers respiratory infuenza, which is a very serious ilness. The flu shot does nothing for intestinal "flu"- that is a totally different virus (but nonetheless annoying).
