Although they will never read this I just wanted to wish a Happy Anniversary to my Father and Stepmother “Jimmie and Annette Ward”. Tomorrow they will celebrate their 3rd anniversary.
I just wanted to post this because of the amazing story that go with them. They were teenage sweethearts back in 1940. But lost contact with each other after daddy joined the navy during WWII. He asked about her when he returned home but was told that she had married and they never saw each other again. Then three years ago, just out of the blue, they ran into each other again. She being a Widow, and he a Widower. And well, it was like the last 50+ years had never been, for they were sweethearts again. They were married only two months later. Him at age 76 her at 75. And I can truly say that they are the happiest couple I know. And I love her to death; she is the best Step-mom that I could ask for!!
