Grandma Lorie Watch

Keep us posted Lorie & John. Baby was due December 17th?

Kind of like Lorie - likes to sleep late . . .

Well...I finally have news!

Heather is being admitted to the hospital at 4:00am tomorrow morning to induce labor. We should see our new grandson sometime on the 21st.

What a GREAT Christmas gift, Lorie! My son Michael(our baby) was born on the 21st, and Kristin (the oldest) on the 28th. Makes the Christmas season that much more fun!

I just got home from the hospital.

Joshua Benjamin Demke was born at 12:01pm. He weighed in at 8 lbs. 8 ozs. and was 20 in. long.

Heather and her husband Ben are doing well too.

CONGRATULATIONS to Heather and Ben and to new grandparents Lorie & John! (gee, Granny Lorie - sounds so old.....)

Hello and welcome to baby Joshua. Congratulations Lorie and John. Nothing is more precious than a new baby, especially at Christmas. Good to hear that Heather and Ben are doing okay.

Thanks for all the nice wishes sent our way. We are still waiting to get to hold our little grandson. Unfortunately, he was born with fluid in his lungs and stomach and he now has pneumonia.

The doctor said sometimes that happens with very fast deliveries and that he should be doing better within the next 72 hours.

This is my son-in-law Ben with Joshua when he was 2 hours old.

What a handsome young man!!! My grandson had the same things when he was born by c-section-doing great within a few days. Was hard though as we couldn't hold him until then. Could only "touch" through the incubator with these built in gloves.(like Nasa or something! Just wasn't the same!

Lori & John, congrats to the new grandparents. Joshua sure looks healthy and Dad looks extremely proud. I'm sure you will get to hold the little guy very soon. The very best to Heather & Ben.

Congratulations! Just the right time of the year for a new (grand)child!!!!
Defintely Happy Christmas!

Still haven't got to hold the baby yet. We were all hoping that Heather and Josh could go home from the hospital this morning.

I talked with Heather and she said they were going to do more testing and evaluate Josh at 7:00pm tonight. He still needs to get a little more stable with his numbers before they will release him. The good thing is that he has been taken off his IV's.

Heather and Josh finally were released from the hospital yesterday afternoon. What a nice Christmas gift!

Baby and mom are doing much better. I finally got to hold and feed my new grandson.

Glad everyone is home and well! Now you can start enjoying the Christmas baby! Looks like he's already a little tan like Grandma. (sunlamp in the nursery - lol - :p )
