Pewter Anchor Bays

Pewter Anchor Bays - 07/23/07 02:14 PM

Looking at the new 47-foot Motor Lifeboat that Paul took pictures of gave me an idea.

47 foot motor lifeboat pictures

I think this one and other new Coast Guard vessels that have the Anodized metal would be a great new Anchor bay. Make it in pewter with a clear coat. Since this may be expensive, make a special edition of only 300. Or for the first time make a pewter Anchor Bay for the regional event. It would be silver plated or just clear coat on the pewter boat.

What Ya thnk?

Or if you really want to go lifelike.... you could have them annodized just like the real thing

I'd like to see an exact replica of the new 47' boat made. From the same material that recent AB's have been made with would be the most affordable.

Silver with the red and white markings would look great!

They could make a batch of pewter ones for event pieces or prizes.

To keep the cost down and the production number up, the boat could be painted with the anodized gray finish and have an normal edition size. A very special limited edition of 350-400 in pewter could also be done. This would be something on the order of the Golden Gate Bridge Series of a gold plated and a painted version.
