Unfortunately the Hudson-Athens LE is also not being produced correctly. The iron railing on the real lighthouse goes all the way around the building and is not attached to the tower as shown in the pictures. It actually is about two feet out from the tower. (See picture in link)

When I contacted Harbour Lights this is the reply that I received:
"Thanks for your astute observation! We do make some concessions to our
sculptors and factories, and those minute differences sometimes serve as
additional copyright protection.
I think our factory was very challenged due to the extensive metalwork
attachments designed for this lighthouse. Perhaps they felt that connecting
the railing to the tower would help strengthen the fragile design.
Thank you for your continued support and enthusiasm!"

They may have a valid reason but I am still disappointed. You be the judge.

I liked the picture of the Hudson-Athens,N.Y. light from Lighthouse Depot Spring "99". The replication of the light is very appealing and would be a great addition to any Harbour Light collection.Sometime you have to add variation to produce the piece. I would rather go with, than without.
