Isle of Shoals, NH - 03/26/07 01:12 AM

Received the Isle of Shoals piece this past week and can tell you it is very well done. Would like to hear other comments on this piece and others that have been received.

Gee Bert, I wish I could comment on the Isle of Shoals but I still haven't received any new HL's for 2007. I had this happen with one of my dealers from the past and the final result wasn't good. I do hope it's not my current dealer's fault and that Harbour Lights has just been slow getting the new releases out to the West Coast.

 Bob

Bob, I would be talking to your dealer.

I'm pretty sure all the early intro LEs have been shipped to the dealers long ago. Sounds like they are waiting until they can ship a skid full of lights to you! I don't think this is a matter of HL getting the product shipped - Once they start the process they aren't going to do just some of the dealers. I believe they get all the autoships into the system on the same day. Jim just gets his earlier because he is closer to the shipping point.

Bob

Just received an email from my dealer that she has the following for me.

#344 Mobile Point, Al.
#345 Gibb's Hill, Bermuda
#349 Seul Choix, Mi
#695 St. Augustine Lens

Would you guess that she has been saving them up for me until she could fill the UPS truck?

I got one other shipment in 2007, 3 lights and the big MAC. However, numbers etc. are all done correctly. That seems to be the important thing for me.

That's true, Dave. If we get an autoship on a Friday, the West Coast stores will receive them on the following Thursday (Friday at the latest). Sounds like he's saving all 7 pieces for one shipment, to save on shipping.

Actually, those last 4 pieces were shipped to the dealers all in one shipment. The previous 3 new releases and Red Hull all arrived within a 2 week period, so your dealer wasn't hoarding them too long before shipping them to you.

I've been trying my best to stick with getting some of the new releases from my local dealer, but they take a long time to get new releases in.

I have also bought from Cape Annies, and they do get them in weeks quicker and ship them right out to you asap.

For now I will buy from both. I need to support my local HL dealer, they are the reason I became a lighthouse collector.

Now if they could get Mobile Point in by this weekend. whistling

RELEASE THE DOVES! SOUND THE TRUMPETS! Grand Island, Point Bonita, and Isle of Shoals have arrived! I haven't taken them out of their boxes yet, but I'll let you know what I think when I do.
