Michigan City (Christmas 2001)

Michigan City (Christmas 2001) - 01/03/02 03:16 AM

Information collected has revealed that the 2001 Christmas piece "Michigan City", comes with or with out the railing on top of the roof of the front porch. I know of two different ones that do not have the railing. Later ones seem to have it. Check yours and let us know your number and if you have one with or with out.

Re: Michigan City (Christmas 2001) - 01/04/02 01:03 AM

If you mean the curved balcony, my #427 has a railing. If you're talking about the rectangular roof on the side with the boat, mine DOESN'T have a railing.

Dear God,

Remember me? It's Bill. We had drinks a few years ago at Denny's. You made that joke about St. Peter and I snorted milk through my nose. Yeah, that's me.

You know I don't ask for much. But if you can swing it, please let me have a Michigan City variation that's as rare as "Mulkilteo" so that I might be able to sell it on the black...er, secondary...market and retire to a life of golf and daiquiris.

Sincerely,

Your Future Angel Buddy from Portland

I will work on getting photo of the MCLH without the railing.
Also we are talking about the railing on the roof over the front entrance. Its a half circle railing that matches the railing on the front porch.
I double checked mine. There never was a railing there. The green paint is all the same color.
I also called a friend who has number 1944 and it has both railings.

When Sue and I come up to visit you, Jake, I will be glad to bring you my #14 to replace that broken Old Michigan City Lighthouse... I will of course except the old broken lighthouse in trade so you don't have to look at it any more. I will still have an AP of the lighthouse so I won't have to display only that broken one..

Re: Michigan City (Christmas 2001) - 01/12/02 02:36 AM

Face it Jake, it's BROKE!!!!

Send it to me and I'll give it a proper burial!!
Posted By: jakescol

Re: Michigan City (Christmas 2001) - 01/21/02 04:04 AM

I thought that there was a second one but it turned out that it wasn't. So far, mine is the only one that I know of.
I like all the different offers I have received for one of you to relieve this broken lighthouse from my collection of GLOWS LOL

Re: Michigan City (Christmas 2001) - 01/26/02 02:50 PM

I guess no one else found a "railing-less" Michigan City Christmas 2001 piece. Could it be that there were only two that got by the inspectors?

Am I wrong about this?
