478 Registered Forum Users - 07/18/99 03:30 PM

In reference to a post on the "Forum About These Forums" (Number of Posters} posted by John Chidester:
"Nice to see the number of registered Forum users climbing again - as of today at 478 - from the low of 438 on 6/3/99 when the users file was purged.
An increase of 40 in 44 days.

EVERYONE is welcome! Don't just be a reader, be a participant!

It is interesting to note that the number of 478 only represents 4.78% of the purchasers of a 10000 edition of a LE. I wonder if there is any practical way to get feedback from the other 95.12%. Maybe through some sort of dealer participation giving customer feedback which could be posted on a separate forum ?

It is even more interesting to note that the 478 of us registered here in the forums represent only 1.5% of collectors belonging to the Harbour Lights Collectors Society.

This figure of course is arbitrary and is based on 30,000 members in the Collector's Society and that all 478 people registered here belong to the society. I believe it is a fairly accurate number though.

Wouldn't it be great to hear the opinions of the other 98.5%?

HarbourLights.com has about 4,000 registered visitors. So 478 would be about 12% of the 'connected collectors'. However we haven't pushed registration on HL-dot-com for a while.

We're starting a new 'contest' that will run during August and September which will encourage visitors to register.

If there are 25,000 non-duplicate Society members, I think we should have about 10,000-12,000 registered site visitors. (My guesses alone.)
