If you won a Lighthouse form "Participate & Post " which one would it be?

If you won a Lighthouse form "Participate & Post " which one would it be? - 02/27/08 03:00 PM

Well; like many of you I watch each month wondering if this is the month I will win from the "Participate & Post " and if so what lighthouse would I pick. Not sure if it will ever happen for some of us, So I think it would be fun to pick the one you would want if you won. and to say why.

This gives the chance for all the non-winners to participate and pick a lighthouse that they would want if they won. It kinda like saying what would I do if I won the Lotto.

Because of my designation (Saint) I'm not allowed to participate. I do think the whole concept is a great one, and many kudos to Harbour Lights for generously proving the free HL's!

Bob
In this imaginary Drawing all are aloud to participate even the Saints.

Well then, I would probably pick an area light replicated by HL, probably the Bristol Ferry Light.

I would pick Loon Island, NH as it is a New England Light which is what I primarily collect. laugh I also have 60 some odd others that are not from New England.

Since anyone can participate, not that I'm a Saint, but that I've already won. My current choice would be Owl Head, Portland Head(winter version), or any of the new ones due in March.

I don't want to say...I'm rather superstitious. wink

That said, there's a LARGE part of the catalog I'd go for. There's many pieces in the current catalog I have my eye on. It would be a tough choice that I hope I get.

Just received my "real" winnings ... the 142 HL in our collection is Galveston Jetty ...

But if I had to choose again, I think I'd choose Cedar Point ... you know that one with the roller coaster! I love that!

Northwest Passage. Too bad only the legs are left of the original.

See as how this is all imaginary, I'd take a Coquille River (without Rod) from the Founders Collection. A new release would mess up my autoship numbers.

Okay Rich you are really using your imagination.
As far as I know all Coquilles had lightning rods and there was no Coquille offered in the Founders collection.

What does a collector get that has it all.
How about the GLOW's you don't have them. I recommend the South Haven, Michigan #360, it is pretty neat.

Daniel - If your going to imagine and dream you might as well go for the GUSTO so to speak. Also, according to the infamous Rutherford and his books, they made Coquille with and without the rod. SOOOOOO, if your gonna dream an imaginary dream, go for the almost impossible.

Rich,

You are looking at an incorrect assumption. Daniel is correct. There were NO original Coquilles produced without a lightning rod.

Dream on.....but you are free to dream the impossible dream....

I would pick one of the new releases. But it would be a tough choice.
