Although I have not had the pleasure of meeting him in person, I believe that is our own St. John of the Forum and in the middle picture he's at the Bug Light in LI!

#1 I admit I don't know who the guy in the background is but I recognize JC.
#2 is at the Long Beach Bar Light a.k.a. Buglight outside of the harbor at Greenport, LI, NY.
#3 is Orient Point Light a.k.a. the Teapot.
#4 is Plum Island Light. Photo taken from Plum Gut.
#5 is ??? ...I've never been inside those lights but I would guess the lantern room for the Bug Light.

Bob M. is mostly right so far!
Joanne and Bob, the nickname for Orient Point LH is "the Coffee Pot."
Still need #5. Look at the color of John's face for a hint!
#1 the man in the background will have to be guessed by a local or someone who reads my posts.

Reminds me of the old joke (I'll make it shorter) about the guy who claimed he knew everyone in the world. He was challenged many times, but in each case, the person in fact knew Charlie.

Finally someone said "you don't know the Pope." "Oh, yes, I do, said Charlie." And after a few weeks, both Charlie and the Challenger found themselves at St. Peters square in Rome.

"Wait here," Charlie said. "The Pope and I will come out on the balcony and wave to you." So Charlie headed into the building and his friend was left standing below the balcony.

Suddently Charlie and someone dress all in white came on the balcony. The crowd that had gathered around cheered, but the challenger realized he couldn't be sure it was the Pope with his friend. So he asked the stranger standing next to him, "Who is that person dressed in white on the balcony?"

"You mean the man standing with Charlie?" the stranger replied.

Hey John, why aren't you smiling in the last picture? Did you take the elevator down?

LOL John... that's pretty good. Bob... I'm no computer geek, but I did peek, so I'll keep my mouth shut, er, fingers tamed.

Did you by chance read my account? The one that named the TWO lighthouses we climbed? Thanks Bob Scroope for posting these pictures - it was a great day and you were a GREAT host.
