Nancy, they are all great pictures...but my favorite is the Plum Island w/rainbow. Very, very cool.

Nancy, you framed those shots beautifully. The rainbow is gorgeous but so is the detail of the rocks and churning white caps. Please post more of your pictures on the forums. We all enjoy seeing pictures, but I think that those of us who don't live near so many lighthouses relish them particularly so. Thanks!

The challenge merchadise is also still available on the website, so even if any of you couldn't join us on LI for the challenge, the proceeds from the challenge merchandise help all the lighthouse groups here.

To make a little tradition out of what Dennis did last yr, I will be putting a set of challenge postcards, complete with the tin, up on Ebay & donate those proceeds also. I'll let you all know when I have it set up. Now that the challegnge is over, Hubby thought it best that I find the interior of our neglected house before I kept doing other things...lol He is a trooper though. He supports me in all my crazy ideas, including holding onto my belt as I hang over the cliff edges at Montauk to get the 'perfect angle'. Suppose I shouldn't tick him off huh?

Eatons Neck

Thanks Grace, it's definitely one of my all time faves. It was pure luck or devine intervention...lol
Diane & I went there on April 14th purposely to get shots to use for the challenge postcard. The print deadline was coming up fast . It was a crummy day, raining on & off, but we had no choice of any other day. We watched the cloudes & prayed for a break all the way there.

We had to wait for an escort to take us around since it's on an active base & we kept watching the clouds moving around & the sun had popped out. We were only shooting for about 10 minutes. From that angle, the clouds moved in behind the lighthouse but the sun was still out behind us to give us GREAT lighting! Within a few minutes, the clouds overtook the sun & we headed to the truck & it started raining.

Needless to say I went home VERY happy I have plans to send a print to the base when I get some made, as a thank you for their hospitality. It's only been printed on challenge things so far.

Lesson of the day...it's never a bad day to go try to get a shot

I'm glad you all like them. I suppose it would be rather hard to make a living with them if no one liked them! I'll try to post more in the future for those land locked members that need a fix
